Just a few days ago, Chief Public Defender Dennishiya resigned with very little context. In his announcement, he stated:
Greetings. I hereby tendered my resignation to the Chairman of the BAR association. This is due to me doing main account crime. I hereby duly recommend 2018heore079 for this office. I urge that the BAR continues the step in the right direction, and appoints a proactive person for CPD.
Shortly after Dennishiya’s resignation, Attorney General HasteAnarchy announced RayBanzAMakeHerDance as the next Chief Public Defender.
In my capacity as the head of the BAR Association, I’m happy to announce that following a vote from within the organization, we have decided to appoint RayBanzAMakeHerDance as the next Chief Public Defender. With his extensive legal background and history of service within OSFUSA, we feel that this is the right decision for ensuring the smooth operation of the Public Defender’s Office, and we believe that he will be able to execute the duties of his role to the best of his ability. Thank you.
This appointment blatantly ignores Dennishiya’s recommendation, begging the question of foul play. What were the motives behind Dennishiya’s resignation? Was he forced out of the position? Did his court case take a turn? The public will sadly not know the status of Dennishiya’s case due to the record being sealed, but one can presume.
